Medformix® XXV has the flexibility and feature-set to work with virtually any medical specialty. Although certain foundational modules are standard across all practices, what takes place in the exam room is usually quite different.
Because we see our role as empowering doctors to serve their patients in exactly the way they want, we provide them with the ability to design and organize their own electronic medical charts, if they so choose. These customized charts are not orphans; they integrate seamlessly with every other element of XXV. Medformix has the flexibility to be server based on your site or ASP (Application Service Provider) or Web Based, the choice is yours!
NAVIGATIONMedformix® XXV employs a MUI (multiple-user interface), which allows the staff to make use of any or all of the following system navigation methods - the mouse, the keyboard number pad, the function keys and other specific keystrokes. We designed the MUI to provide both speed and efficiency in entering data. In addition, the various means of navigation enable staff members with different levels of technology skills to be comfortable using XXV. The MUI is iPad / Tablet ready.
A key issue for many offices is managing the flow of patients through the course of their visit. Our Practice Traffic Controller® screen displays every patient currently checked in, the type of visit scheduled and the doctor to be seen, where they are physically, their status (i.e. pre-exam, testing, with doctor) and the sequence in which each patient should be seen by a particular provider. In addition, the PTC shows whether or not there are open orders to be fulfilled during the visit. This useful tool records and creates a permanent record of the length of time a patient spends in each phase of the visit from check in to check out. No more door flags or patients feeling forgotten in an exam room!
We realize that "Practice Management" covers a lot of ground and may mean different things to different people. Our definition covers complete and easily-accessed documentation of patient demographics (including patient picture, insurance coverage, family linking and other information); powerful scheduling and appointment tracking tools (including the option for online appointment making); integrated recall, follow up and marketing tools; and electronic authorizations, insurance filing, benefit inquiries and ERA posting. Complete, secure daily data backup is also a core element of our commitment to our clients' success.

Our goal in building Medical Menu in XXV has been to make individual electronic charts both logical and flexible. Using our electronic health record system speeds up data entry, allowing doctors and staff more time to interact with patients.
We know that most offices follow certain set procedures during any visit or exam; we also know that every practitioner has his/her own nuances and techniques. Medformix® XXV accommodates both elements in our medical chart format. WE HAVE NEVER BELIEVED IN ONE-SIZE-FITS-ALL SOLUTIONS.
The traditional medical chart elements for a visit or exam are easily accessed in the XXV Medical Menu. The data entered in these fields flows throughout the system providing complete synchronicity.
The Flex Chart choice on the Medical Menu providers each practice with the opportunity to create customized medical charts that meet their specific needs. Examples could include such charts as radiology reports, pathology / lab or surgery documents. We are happy to build flex charts (according to the doctor's specifications) that will link seamlessly with other elements of XXV.
Entering patient data into XXV's electronic medical charts is easy and quick. Frequently used helps (individualized by the doctor) are always available in drop-down lists. Longer blocks of pre-set text can be entered with a few keystrokes and customized to address specific patient circumstances. This feature is especially useful when the doctor wants to provide detailed information about a diagnosis, treatment, medication or patient education. Additionally, a text to speech program may be used to enter information into the electronic chart.
ChartScore®, our unique CPT scoring system, informs the doctor of the visit level achieved during the exam itself and provides direction for elements that need to be included to bill at the next higher level. Lost or uncollected revenue impacts everything and everyone in a practice. It's well known that many doctors lose substantial amounts of money each year through under billing of office visits. A visit that could be billed as a level 4 (99214) is often billed as a level 3 (99213) to be on the "safe" side. Some of our clients have increased their bottom line by thousands of dollars just through improving the accuracy of their billing!
Doctors often tell us of their frustration when a test or procedure such as a thyroid profile is not completed during a patient's visit. The reasons for such an omission can be many – faulty communication, staff busyness or patients impatient to leave. XXV completely eliminates this issue with our electronic orders function. Orders may be tied to a specific visit type or entered by the doctor either before the visit (future orders) or during the visit itself. If an order is not completed and noted in the chart during the visit, the patient is blocked from checking out. Once an order is completed, it is automatically charged to the patient's account so there are no "lost" charges.
We all realize that e-prescribing is one of the keys to successful practice and participation in the government mandates for Meaningful Use and EHR's. Medformix® XXV has a fully functional, easy-to-use e-Rx tools which interfaces with the NewCrop Rx portal and the the NewCrop Rx portal SureScripts clearing house to meet all current and anticipated standards for security and efficiency. The two-way communication between XXV and the e-prescribing format fully shares information about current medications, allergies, insurance and formularies. The actual prescribing of medication is quick, simple and secure. We are proud to provide this essential service to our clients.
Since the Medical Menu is the primary focus of the doctor, we have made it very convenient for him/her to enter other important data without having to navigate to a different part of the system. The number of days and the type of visit for a follow up are directly at hand in the Medical Menu, as is the ability to generate patient instruction sheets and detailed referral letters with just a few key strokes. Speed and precision are hallmarks of XXV's Medical Menu!
Our Triage process is another core element of our clients' successful practice management. All incoming calls that require follow up are logged in, detailed and assigned to the appropriate staff or doctor. These calls may be about symptoms, changes in medication, prescription refills, billing and a host of other issues. Every time a provider enters his/her ID and security code, he/she sees how many open triage calls have been assigned. The individual call screen has links to other important parts of the system so that the provider can find information and take action quickly. One the issue has been resolved, the call is closed but remains a part of the patient's permanent record.
XXV provides over 700 reports which detail important elements of the overall practice. These reports focus on medical procedures, financials, patient demographics and staff production among other topics.
